Dr Tao Liu is an Associate Professor of School of Transportation and Logistics, Southwest Jiaotong University. He received his PhD in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on Transportation, from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He once worked as a Research Fellow at TUMCREATE Ltd., in Singapore. His research focuses on the analysis, modelling and optimization of transportation systems, especially public transportation systems. He has authored and co-authored over 50 papers in peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings, and 3 book chapters. Dr Liu was awarded the Vice-Chancellor's Prize for Best Doctoral Thesis of the University of Auckland.
